Field Day 2022 presented a challenge for the Nashville Amateur Radio Club. This year was one of the hottest on record. With daytime temperatures in the high 90’s and extreme humidity, members were setup in a field under the shade from tree’s and popup tents. Determined to operate under these extreme conditions shows the flexibility of amateur radio to be able to deploy under any conditions to meet any
emergencies. While the 24 hours of operations was hard on the body and equipment, there was a sense of pride at the end of the event knowing that our members can rise to meet any challenge presented to it.
We had a great turn out of members and visitors that stopped by to check out the five stations setup in the field and to see the new club house. We had voice, CW and digital stations setup along with AREDN.
Below are some photos of the event.
