Middle Tennessee Ham Co-Op Hosts Successful First Annual Picnic
Greenbriar, TN — October 11, 2025:
The Middle Tennessee Ham Co-Op celebrated a major milestone with its first annual picnic, held Saturday at the Louis Martin Ball Fields in Greenbriar, Tennessee. More than 100 amateur radio enthusiasts, friends, and families attended the event, marking a strong show of support for the growing cooperative of regional radio clubs.
It was a beautiful fall day — perfect for outdoor fun, good food, and connecting with fellow hams. The picnic featured live radio demonstrations, equipment displays, and an on-site amateur radio testing session, allowing several new operators to earn or upgrade their licenses.
Participants praised the event’s sense of community and collaboration, as the Co-Op continues its mission to unite local clubs, share resources, and promote the advancement of amateur radio throughout Middle Tennessee.
Plans are already underway for next year’s picnic, with hopes to make it even bigger and better.
